What’s Hot on TV Tonight – SYTYCD Top 20

Apparently Tuesday is no longer Prince Spaghetti Day and is now Reality TV Day. Most major programming on tonight is reality TV, whether it's competition based or just providing you with a ringside seat to every minute of someone's life. The top 20 perform on So You Think You Can Dance, America's Got Talent continues its auditions, and Big Brother continues to lay out how this new three-nomination system is going to work.

1. Extreme Weight Loss. For the first time in the show's history, Chris helps a married couple. Sure, he's inadvertently helped a spouse before, but this time both a husband and wife are looking for his help in losing weight. Married couple Jason and Rachel are former high school sweethearts from Michigan 7:00 PM CT ABC

2. So You Think You Can Dance. The top 20 will peform tonight, t hen find out who peformed unnecessarily because they're heading home. Your votes won't save them tonight, but your votes for the remaining dancers could save them for next week. 7:00 PM CT Fox

3. Big Brother. It's time to see how this whole MVP thing will work and who the first MVP is. Along with that, we'll also have the first of the season power of veto competition and most likely the PoV meeting as well. McCrae does't seem like a very strong HoH. He seems like he'll bow to the opinions of others very easily. 8:00 PM CT CBS

4. America's Got Talent. Okay. It's time to wrap up these auditions. They've been going on since May, I believe. Then again, it's only episode five. It just seems like it's been really drawn out this season, like maybe Sharon Osbourne was the one keeping them moving along before. 9:00 PM CT NBC

5. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The guests tonight include Bradley Cooper, The Dream and Kelly Rowland, and an extra dose of Heidi Klum on America's Got Talent night. 10:35 PM CT NBC

Big Brother 15, June 30 – The Moving Company

On the season premiere of Big Brother, after the introductions, a twist was revealed that there would be two nominations each week. McCrae won the first HoH, an endurance competition. The houseguests found out that the third nomination each week will be made by the MVP, a person named by the fans each week. On Sunday Night's episode …

After the Twist is Revealed

As always, expect the unexpected.

Aaryn thinks the twist is awesome because she thinks she'll get MVP more than once.

McCrae realizes that having an MVP choosing a third nominee will really hurt. him.

Andy realizes that having an MVP means you have to suck up to everyone, not just the HoH.

Jeremy thinks the women are going to be the MVP every week, meaning he'll need to have a snuggle session with everyone.

HoH Room

The new HoH room is a blue, silver, and white cityscape.

Ginamarie feels like she's in a New Jersey club.

What's more obnoxious – Andy's kitty shirt or Ginamarie's fuzzy pink hat?

McCrae thinks he's living life of luxury.

Gummy bears have McCrae super psyched.

New Alliance

Nick starts a new alliance that includes his other alliance with Jeremy, Spence, and Howard, as well as McCrae.

McCrae wants to guess the guest list when approached about the new alliance.

The new alliance is called “The Moving Company.”

Nick likes the group because it includes a loyal sleeper, a guy who can lift anything, and two guys who can go the distance.

This gives this new group of guys a twenty-five percent chance of getting MVP every time.

Getting to Know Each Other

While Jessie thinks Kaitlin likes Jeremy, Kaitlin is irritated by his voice. She wants to ask him, “Can I blow your nose for you?

Aaryn asks David to save her if she needs it. He explains he came there for a showmance more than the money.

Amanda thinks being with Jessie is like being trapped with a little girl at a Justin Bieber concert. She gets a crush on every single guy who looks at her.

Everyone starts to realize Ellisa is Rachel's sister.

Except for Amanda. She has spent all this time making fun of Rachel.

Have Not Competition – Cooker and the Gang

Spencer has never seen a squirrel wearing a cowboy hat and eating corn.

Ginamarie explains she can't be a Have Not bechause she has heavy hair.

Elissa says, “No one comes between me and my hot shower.”

The red team are Have Nots this week.

The Have Not room resembles the inside of an airplane. They will have to sleep sitting up.

Nick is concerned about David, because he's super fit. If they get rid of him, they have no more competition.

McCrae wants to nominate two girls.

The order of the keys are: Nick, Jeremy, David, Aaryn, Kaitlyn, Ginamarie, Elissa, Helen, Amanda, Andy, Howard, Spencer, Judd.

McRae eventually puts Jessie and Candace up for eviction because they are the “least liked.”

“Let the MVP get the blood on their hands.”

Stay tuned for the PoV competition on Tuesday night.

What’s Hot on TV Tonight – A New Beginning

What’s Hot on TV Tonight has existed in its standard format for quite a number of years now. However, in all that time, the scope of entertainment and how it relates to the Internet has changed. We no longer watch TV the same or look for the same type of information. Because of that, I decided to ditch the old episode summary format, trying to give readers a more thorough look at where they can get more information on what they’re watching, more than just summaries. In addition, there will be a quick five facts to start out each column, facts about those very series you’ll be watching that night. It’s a continuing work in progress. Please let me know what you think.

Fact #1. Both of the Syfy series on tonight have already been canceled, despite only having their fourth airing tonight.

Fact #2. There is a planned sequel to the film featured tonight on Starz, Hotel Transylvania, scheduled to be released in September 2015.

Fact #3. At this year’s Wimbledon, it’s the worst performance by the top 10 women’s seeds at any Slam in the Open Era, meaning the ratings my not do well for TV ratings.

Fact #4. My Cat From Hell: Scratch Tracks is the Animal Planet “enhanced” version of the regular series, My Cat From Hell.

Fact #5. 48 Hours has been on the air since 1988 – a quarter of a century.
