First of all, I am sorry for the long delay. It is actually a shame because I enjoyed this episode; life has simply gotten in the way of my reality show viewing. Thankfully, this was the first non-elimination leg of the season which I had called because I saw no way CBS wanted a team eliminated on a night when most TV viewers were watching James Cameron taken down by his ex-wife.

Last night with the top 8 girls, that gap seemed to be widening between them with the ones that get it and the ones that don't. Tonight with the top 8 guys, I'm expecting more of the same. It's not the time to sing your favorite song from the radio or to take something and totally annihilate it.

So far tonight we haven't heard anything about a change in plans, so I assume it will go off without a hitch and the top eight girls will be singing. It's an important week for them. If they make it through, they'll be in the top 12. There are some that seem like they can coast this week and still make it, and others that seem like they'll need a miracle, so it'll be interesting to see how they work it out.

As Ryan Seacrest starts the show, Ellen DeGeneres is sitting on Simon Cowell's lap making out with him.

What an episode! Only an all-star season could bring us this much excitement this early in the season. This week both tribes received a clue that there was a hidden immunity idol hidden on their beach, and both tribes treated it very differently. The Heroes tribe decided to take an "every man for himself" approach, and they all went looking for it.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to our Cowboys this week once we're out of Western territory and the challenges that involve milking cows, lassooing steer, and riding fake horses. Are they really the team to beat or have they had luck on their side? Some of the others don't think it's fair that they have had to do tasks that the Cowboys knew how to do previously, but frankly it would be extremely hard to gear all challenges away from anything anyone on any team has ever done in their life.
