Celebrity Fit Club: Men vs. Women – Episode 2, These People are Messed Up
The Fit Clubbers have their first overnight camp after a team-building challenge. The guys beat the gals, but not by much. The agreement between the teams was that the losers would cook for the winners. The ladies prepared a healthy meal of grilled meats, veggies and a salad. During dinner, Da Brat asked Dustin about his sex tape. Dustin proceeded to go on and on about it. However, no one wanted that much of an explanation. Most of the Fit Clubbers were put off by Dustin’s incessant discussion of the tape. Kimberley Locke mentioned in her interview, which Dustin listened in on, that “nobody cared.” This really hurt Dustin. However, he didn’t seem to understand that he hurt Kim last week by saying she can’t be addicted to pizza. He continues to believe that people can’t be addicted to food. (From personal experience, I can tell Screech that he’s wrong.) There was a lot of drama. Ross “The Intern” Matthews and Maureen “Marcia Brady” McCormick tried to place peacemakers when Dustin said he wanted to quit the show. (IMHO they should’ve let him go.) The dude refuses to follow the diet plan and doesn’t want to exercise. He thinks you can eat pizza and burgers…and lose weight. However, the producers would not have much of a show if Dustin wasn’t around. It’s only the second episode, and he’s the most compelling (and possibly well-known) individual. That’s pretty sad. Unsurprisingly, Dustin was the first one to be weighed this evening. Despite his appalling food choices, which Dr. Ian called complete BS, Dustin lost 9 lbs. He’s down to 208. His next week’s target is 5 lbs. ANT asks the gals who their Team Captain is. They decide it’ll be Miss Kimberley Locke. They’ve gone and named themselves the Shady Lady Bunch. Kim gets up to face the music. (Haha! She’s a singer. What a clever pun, right?) The former American Idol contestant lost 9 lbs. Her next target will be 4 lbs. Ross has his day in the sun next. The cuddly and sweet dude who’s best known for his segments on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno is really taking the tenets of Fit Club seriously. He wants to get and be healthy. Apparently, Ross is doing a great job following Dr. Ian’s advice…Harvey’s workout prescription—he even tried going boxing with Warren G. Ross lost a total of 15 lbs, the biggest drop of the night. He’s under the 200-mark for the first time since he was “eleven.” Harvey told him to lose 4 big ones next time. Warren G., the men’s Team Captain, hits the scales. The rapper is missing some of his comfort goodies like fried chicken and cognac. However, as the captain of the “Regulators”, he’s gotta represent. Warren loses 12 lbs. and promises to do justice to Harvey’s next goal of four pounds. Next up is Maureen McCormick. Maureen discusses her troubles with bulimia a bit and says that she overcame it with ‘prayer’. How nice for her! (As a bulimic myself, I can tell you that is NOT the usual way to recover. It’s a very serious condition and, well, I wish the network used a bit more discretion in the way they edited that segment. Ugh!) Maureen lost 11 lbs. She’s at 139 right now and is aiming for a target of 4 lbs. next weigh-in. Tiffany lost 9lbs. She’ll have to take 4 more off next time. Cledus, who feels guilty about eating, went to the grocery store with the therapist. Dr. Ian looked at his food logs and noticed that Cledus wasn’t eating enough. Dr. Ian made it clear that he doesn’t want anyone to starve him or herself. He did lose 12 lbs, but more importantly, it seems that Cledus is beginning to understand that eating healthy food will keep him healthy. It’s good to see Stacy working with him. He needs her help the most. Cledus also has a 4 lb. weight-loss target next time. Finally, we have Da Brat. She mentioned that she had a bit of an issue during the detox phase of the diet. She couldn’t stop farting. Nice! In the end, she lost 8lbs. Next time, she’s gotta lose 5 lbs to meet her goal. When the Fit Clubbers got on the scales, it showed that the Regulators lost more weight per pound for a total of 48 lbs. shed. The Shady Lady Bunch is down by 37. However, since this is the Men vs. Women competition, they’ll be judging the overall body weight percentage lost. This gives the women a slight lead with 5.69%. (The men have 5.54% so far.) Next week, Screech (oops! Dustin) continues upsetting everyone and threatens to quit. I can’t wait for that action, can you?
