Pussycat Dolls: Search for the Next Doll, Episode 4 – You Dance Like A Drag Queen
The kitties are baring their claws this week. Oh yes, it’s getting ugly in the Doll House. Asia admits that she doesn’t like living with a bunch of girls. Sisely is terribly upset that Robin and everyone didn’t like her last performance. Chelsea whines about how she didn’t fit in in high school and well, I must remind her…
Girl, it ain’t ‘cuz you were fat…it was because you’re so darn annoying! There, I feel better now.
This week the theme is creativity. Carmit, a former Olympic-level athlete, and a very interesting looking “Doll” talks to them about bringing their A-game all the time and being creative no matter what they do. (Hmmm? PCD is a ‘creative’ endeavor. Who knew?)
After Carmit leaves, Robin gives the girls their challenge. Two leaders are chosen…Chelsea and Asia. They pick their teams. Chelsea chooses Mariela and Anastacia. Asia picks Melissa S and Melissa R. Then, she gets stuck with Sisely. The songs are from the disco era which was a very creative era, as Robin says.
Oh yes, creative is what I think of when I hear disco music. They were some creative people, and creative dressers too. Creative in the way that Sanjaya Malakar is creative, right!
Chelsea’s team sings “Shame” and Asia’s group has “Don’t Leave Me This Way”.
Asia doesn’t want to be a leader and proves that she isn’t one initially. In fact, she acts all tired like in rehearsals and then gets b*tchy. Nice. Chelsea works better with her team and they actually sound better.
Asia and Sisely have some tension between them. In fact, while the girls are eating some Chinese food Sisely makes a snarky comment that Asia dances like a drag queen. This eats away at Asia, but she keeps her mouth closed at first.
Asia’s team performs for Robin. She’s not happy. Chelsea’s team fares much better. Once back at the House, Asia calls the gals together. She wants to get something off her buxom chest. She’s upset at Sisely. Sisely is rude back to her and then cries. I’m not sure why…but perhaps the gals forgot to all take their medication today, or they’ve been living together for so long that their periods are in unison.
Now, that’s scary!
In the meantime, Melissa S. discovers that she’s not ‘sexy’. She is more like the girl next door than a sexy chick. Hmm? To me, she’s just like The Girls Next Door, but she’d probably take that as a compliment.
Later on, Robin, the blonde Pussycat Doll, who’s very sexy apparently, and the choreographer, Mikey give the gals a challenge. They are to choreograph a sexy dance routine with a guy – they provide the guys, how nice! The sexiest dancers win.
Mariela, of course, blows everyone away. She is the dancer in the group.
Heading to the performance, we have a sound check first. Asia’s group has improved immensely and Chelsea’s group sucked eggs. However, when the actual performances went down, the fates reversed again. Chelsea and her gals won the day despite Mariela’s flat voice. Anastacia and Chelsea can blow, yo. (Oops, I must-stop-channeling-Randy-Jackson-help-me!)
Asia’s team loses, but Asia and Melissa R, aka Baby Nicole ‘cuz she looks like PCD frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger, are safe. Melissa S is told she’s not sexy enough, but she is allowed to continue for another week.
This means that Sisely, the odd woman out, is out.
Next week, the girls do some wrestling in The Doll House. My husband can’t wait. Maybe, I’ll ask him to do the recap.
