Cheaters Never Prosper – Surreal Life, Fame Games, Episode 8

Last week Chyna Doll was sent home after Andrea Lowell cried and got Kennedy to throw extra points her way. This week we see that some of the Fame Gamers, especially Traci Bingham, are pissed by that. It wasn’t fair.

Andrea is getting the rep of being a cheater or manipulator. Whether that’s fair or not, I’m not sure…at least ‘til the end of the show, but more on that in a bit.

We start off with the Fame Gamers lounging around the mansion. Traci is missing Chyna a lot. She has no one to do rubber chicken shots with. Awww! I know I miss my friends back home for the exactly same reason. Synthetic animal likenesses filled with alcohol can really help people bond, can’t they?

Anyway, Robin the Leech sends a message to the crew telling them that they can hang by the pool and relax today. There’s nothing to worry about. They can relax. Sure! Everyone seems fooled by this and lets their guard down. Verne flirts with the ladies. Rob reads a book. Pepa gets a wedgie. Ron proves why he should never go out in public, especially in those shorts. Traci adjusts her bikini…and Andrea drinks alcohol, takes off her top and allows scantily-clad chicks to sit on her lap.

Wha-wha-wha-what?

Apparently, relaxation means different things to different people. An A-list celebrity can never really do that. Oh no! As Andrea tells the camera, “Being a celebrity is a 24-hour job. You can’t slack off.” My heart bleeds, but perhaps she’s right.

I mean we, the viewer, know that this is just part of a challenge. Paparazzi are stalking the ‘celebs’. Boy, are they taking some seriously scandalous pics…not? Of course, that doesn’t mean the writers at some of these mags couldn’t spin the scandal into the pics.

After a while out in the sun and proving that he’s never allowed to have any fun, Rob throws a chair in the pool and announces he’s ready to go. Verne is annoyed at his childish antics as is most of the rest of the cast.

Later that night, the unsuspecting celebs sans Verne (He needs a nap instead) head out to the Palms Hotel and Casino for some dancing, drinking and debauchery. Traci brings out the rubber chicken. I’m not sure where she got it and if she brought it, why did she bring it to a club?

When they return to the manse, Traci is driving every nuts. She’s wasted and annoying. She smacked Rob and Ron with the chicken. She talks incessantly. Then, she tries to get Verne to give her a baby. Yup! She hits on Verne and even sleeps in bed with him for a bit. Not that Verne is complaining much.

In the AM, Traci seems repentant. She has a fiancée after all. She calls John, her fiancée, on the phone and asks if he’s upset with her. He laughs and is like “You have a three-foot-limit.” Verne’s under three feet so she ain’t got nada to worry about.

Ouch!

Meanwhile, Verne is telling Ron that he’d give Traci a baby, but he doesn’t want to take care of it. How romantic and responsible! Well, at least he’s honest.

Eventually, Robin the Leech tells the Fame Gamers that they have already completed their challenge. They are shocked! The Leech introduces Chris Wilson, a gossip writer who used to work for the Star and the New York Post (Page Six). Currently, he’s with Maxim men’s magazine.

Chris rates the salaciousness of the pics. He determines that Verne is least scandalous. He’s safe as are Pepa and Traci. Andrea, Ron and Rob are the most problematic. Rob looks like he’s having a homosexual tryst. This upsets Rob. He’s madder about that than playing the Back to Reality game and throws his coffee cup at the picture board, wrecking everyone’s pics, not just his own.

The other Fame Gamers are upset. Rob goes to pack. Ron decides to talk him out of it. Andrea is like, “why?” Traci and Pepa sort of agree. Why not get the biggest threat to eliminate himself? Eventually, Rob decides to play. He was never gonna leave anyway.

Meanwhile, Pepa tells Andrea and Traci she’s got ESP and knows who’s gonna leave tonight. She eventually tells Andrea it isn’t her.

Hmmm?

Then Robin the Leech and Inga show up again. They have a surprise for the Back to Reality contestants. Ron, Andrea and Rob must pick the gourmet from the garbage. They have wine, caviar, chocolate and pate. Some is good stuff. The rest is swill. Andrea blatantly cheats waiting for Rob and Ron to make their decisions before choosing her own options.

Rob and Ron figure this out quickly. In the end, Rob wins without a problem. Ron beats Andrea in the tie-breaker. Andrea leaves much to Verne’s chagrin – he liked her breasteses – and almost everyone else’s relief.
