Dancing with the Stars, Season 6 Finals: So So Cha Cha

The finals are here! The finals are here! And this time, 85% of my excitement is based on the fact that this rather sorry season is almost over. Can the freestyle turn the beat around?

Cha Cha Face Off

Cristian & Cheryl
Dance: They were both fiery in fuchsia but the routine wasn't on fire. Mostly safe moves but with a big slide at the end.
Judges: Len thought that Cristian "had all the gear in the rear" which I think is a compliment and has no relation to junk in the trunk. Bruno noted his vast improvement while CA thought the injury was starting to affect him.
Scores: CA: 8 L: 9 B: 9

Jason & Edyta
Dance: Another case of no caliente. The routine looked jerky and was too bland for my nachos.
Judges: Len and CA agreed that this wasn't Jason's forte and Bruno noticed a boo-boo.
Scores: CA: 8 L: 8 B: 8

Kristi & Mark
Dance: Hands down the best. She really pulled out the energy and dare I say... personality? For the first and last time, I felt that the praise matched the performance.
Judges: Len called her "the complete package" and Bruno said she was "in a class of her own.". CA declared it ladies' night.
Scores: CA: 10 L: 10 B: 10!

Freestyle

Kristi & Mark
Dance: Look around your house. See the couch, a few knicknacks and maybe the kitchen sink? All of them were in this routine. Mark used Kristi's skills for a very gymnastic freestyle with flips, lifts, twists and turns. But there was no theme, it was more like "look what we can do."
Judges: A final festival of love and devotion.
Scores: CA: 10 L: 10 B: 10

Jason & Edyta
Dance: After all these weeks, Jason's caught Edyta's naked disease. Their dance/striptease was fun but relatively lazy, maybe in tribute to their South Beach vibe. Jason probably does more in a club but I have no complaints about the final reveal. Touchdown!
Judges: Bruno said they look like centerfolds and the lifts won universal approval.
Scores: CA: 9 L: 9 B: 9

Cristian & Cheryl
Dance: A sassy latin salsa of every hip shake, shimmy and ay papi, this was a real performance. Sexy and strong, I thought this was the best freestyle.
Judges: CA applauded his spirit but Len thought the other stars' lifts were better.
Scores: CA: 9 L: 8 B: 9
Tonight’s the results show and DWTS has never had a more obvious winner. I don’t usually care who wins 2nd place but think that the one-armed Chilean dancing machine deserves it, if only for the spangly arm cast.
