"I Don't Like You Anymore." - Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, Episode 4by Chloe
In Madrid Spain, Britney and Kevin are not getting along. She tells him she doesn’t like him anymore. Kevin packs his bags and is ready to go home, but isn’t willing to let Britney go just yet. Kevin thinks she is putting up walls to keep from getting hurt. Britney is simply waiting for him to say that he loves her. And Kevin won’t say the “L” word until he is certain she really loves him. Kind of a “catch 22”, don’tcha think?
Britney understands she puts up walls, but can’t seem to let go. She feels that she and Kevin are cute, cool and fun. They’re friends and oh, by the way…they have great sex. Did we not get that from episode one?
In one of their late night talks, of which there seem to be many, Britney tells Kevin and the camera that she wants someone to take care of her. What you really need, honey, is for someone to hand you a hairbrush and fix that ratty head of yours.
Kevin didn’t immediately answer Britney’s needy call, but did say he thinks Britney is loving, intimate and fun. She’s exactly what he is looking for in a…? What ARE you looking for Kevin?
The in-depth analysis of the most minute detail of their relationship segues into shots of Britney’s concert for over 150,000 people. Kevin thinks it’s cool that she wears his hats on stage. After the concert, the group hits the highway in their bus and heads to Paris, France.
Around 2:00 in the morning, the bus tries to cross the French-Spanish border, but is stopped by the border patrol and their many dogs. Britney wakes up and freaks when the bus and luggage are searched, feeling certain that she is about to be kidnapped. Just for the merest of seconds, the show held me captivated. I waited, holding my breath, expecting drugs to be found or…ooo…, Britney and Kevin being arrested, their arms reaching out to each other as they are being hauled away. Okay. That was a little too dramatic. No kidnappings, no arrests, so the bus moves on to Paris, France. Darn.
Once settled in their hotel room, Kevin and Britney take a tour of the city. Britney makes the driver stop as they come upon a beautiful wishing fountain. She hops out with her load of pennies and begins tossing them in. She later tells us that her wish did come true, but she refuses to enlighten us further.
The group then returns to New York and on the long flight and many mimosas later, Britney tears down the walls and proposes to Kevin. Kevin turns her down, saying he was the one who was supposed to get on one knee and pop the question.
Meanwhile, Mo the security guard is looking on with suspicion, wondering what Kevin is up to now. I get the impression he still doesn’t trust Kevin completely.
Before the end of the flight, however, Kevin does the proposing, and Britney of course says yes. Was there any doubt in your minds that she wouldn’t?
Next week Britney and Kevin get married. And that will be the end of the story.
