Learn to Listen - Tommy Lee Goes to College, Episode 5
by Kay Sesay

My apologies, I missed the first few minutes of the show. My V.C.R was being quite unfriendly.

Tommy is an empty chair away from a brunette named Bridgette who asks Tommy if she can't sit next to him when the Chemistry Prof. asks the students to work with the person next to them. I sense a little flirting going on. Hmmmmm!

7 days before finals Tommy and Matt are at the House of Tommy jamming; well Tommy is anyway and gives the drums a good go. Natalie arrives at the house for their study session. Natalie questions as to how he feels about the upcoming exams and Tommy admits he's stressed about chemistry. After more questioning Tommy also admits he hasn't been studying. Tommy really puts his foot in his mouth when he mentions Bridgette helping him out, and that she was cute. Natalie opines that that's the reason why he didn't know what was going on. Tommy tries to defend himself, and Natalie gets real serious with the books.

6 days until finals Tommy and Matt are busy … playing PS2, followed by a poker night with the rest of the Frat Brothers. Tommy decides to call Naomi Campbell, there's a message saying she lost her phone and to leave a message, so the boys do. The calls continue: Slash, voice mail picks up, and Snoop, voice mail picks up. While cooking dinner for their Frat Brothers Tommy and Matt whisper about the Frat prank they have planned.

It's midnight, while donned with balaclavas the Brothers of The House of Tommy, steal away through the night, and break into the Art Museum, with a huge piece of "art."

It's the next day and "Huggy Bear" is glaring at the piece of art that the Frat Brother placed on display. This was hilarious … a comically hideous Mona Lisa, with Tommy's face. Ha, ha! Huggy however doesn't see the humor and feels Tommy needs to be warned.

In Huggy's office he lectures Tommy about his shenanigans. "We don't do this in Nebraska." To help Tommy "get with the program" and help improve his listening skills, Huggy assigns Tommy to work detail, in the cafeteria.

Wearing his hair net, Tommy meets with Ron Burk, who tells Tommy how important it is to listen and follow the rules. When told not to touch the grill as it was hot, what did Tommy do? You got it! Just too funny! Tommy starts to exasperate Ron by playing with food and moving too slowly. Ron reminds Tommy to listen … the reason why he's there.

The next few scenes show a series of clips showing Tommy being late for class, with the words Mr. Lee you're late for class, ringing over and over.

In chemistry class which Tommy makes the end of, the students are given an experiment to create some kind of conservation momentum contraption. At the hardware store Tommy and Matt load up on buckets, wire, hoses, and some other miscellaneous hardware items. Tommy and Matt waste no time getting to work - Killer!

The next morning in Dr. Gaye's office Tommy is demonstrating his creation. Which Dr. Gaye describes as "really strange." I'm chuckling right now, excuse me. As Tommy explains how his re-hydration machine works, the more he puzzles Dr. Gaye. Unfortunately Tommy's hard work, although creative, wasn't reflective of the given assignment. Grade … C

Tommy and Bridgette are studying/flirting as Natalie walks in for the study session, the look on Natalie's face tells me she's not impressed. The session goes haywire. Natalie tries to explain, Bridgette gives her input, at times both talking at he same time.

If Tommy was confused before the session he's definitely confused now.

To find out how Tommy does in the finals, watch this space, same time next week.
