“Hilton’s Welcome a New Edition to the Family!” – I Want To Be a Hilton, Season Finale

By: Chloe

Kathy Hilton reviewed the final contestants before taking them into the decision round. Jaret, Jackaay and Vanessa all had wonderful qualities and each of them has grown from the person they were when the show started.

Jaret with his cowboy hat and country hick accent is now a New York groomed gentleman…with a country hick accent. Ah well, you can take the boy out of the country, but you can’t take the accent out of the boy.

Vanessa is still as cold and controlling as she was in the beginning. She just has more ambition than being a barmaid. She, like Niki, wants to break into the field of design. I guess she AND Niki got lost on the way to the set of “The Cut”.

Jackaay is wearing makeup now, but still has the wide mouth and trailer town approach to all society situations.

The morning of the final round, an invitation arrives from Kathy. She would like to meet with each contestant individually for a final private meeting. Each contestant can choose the location.

Jaret chooses the tracks at Chelsier Park and wows Kathy by reciting his poetry.

Jackaay meets Kathy in an art gallery and chokes up when she describes her horrible childhood.

Vanessa dines with Kathy in a restaurant and divulges her secret wish to be a fashion designer.

Later that evening, all three met Kathy in an elegant restaurant where they chatted amiably and tried to ignore the tension in the room. Eventually, Kathy asked Jackaay and Jaret to leave so that she could speak with Vanessa.

Kathy told Vanessa she felt that Jackaay and Jaret had grown more than she had, so Kathy wished Vanessa goodbye and good luck.

After Vanessa left, Kathy told Jaret and Jackaay they were the final two. To make her decision, Jaret and Jackaay will need to write a speech on how this experience has changed them and present it to a group of people tomorrow.

The next day the two struggled with their speeches until speech writer Stewart Gottleib dropped by to give them a hand, or word. They were also coached by a speech therapist for help in perfect enunciation.

At an elegant dinner with Kathy’s friends and all of the contestants from the show, Jackaay and Jaret presented their speech on why they should be chosen.

And because he did well from start to finish and he had gained the respect of everyone, Kathy chose Jaret to begin his life as a Hilton. He wins a one-year membership to “The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a subscription to the spring season of the New York City Opera, a designer wardrobe, diamonds from Tiffany, skincare products, a European vacation, a New York apartment and the best of all…$200,000 in spending money.

Be on the lookout for Jaret’s new society face on the cover of New York society magazine “Avenue”.
