What Up Kaysar! - Big Brother 6, 8/4/05
by dirtydog

Last week, I started out by saying that that episode was the first of many climaxes we will see this season. I was wrong. It wasn't a climax at all. We're still on the way up.

It's now day 33 in the Big Brother house. We're not even at the half way mark and things are getting quite heated.

Tonight's episode picks up with the fall out from Sarah's use of the Power of Veto on James. Since Janelle is once again on the block, it appears that the Sovereign 6 is in trouble. Kaysar appears undaunted by this though. He says that he thrives under pressure.

It appears now that the Cappy Camp/Friendship are somewhat undecided as to who should be evicted. April goes to Kaysar and asks him to plead his case and make a deal for his safety. Kaysar tells her that she should keep him because he's been honest with her. He then tells her that she wouldn't be nominated if he won HoH next week because she is not who he is after. The focus then moves onto James. They both know that James is playing in both camps. Kaysar is clearly not pleased that he's working with a snake.

He goes to Howie and Rachel and informs them that James has both of them in his sights. It looked like Howie was going to be sick. In the DR, Howie says "I was not happy to find out about the betrayal of James. When someone swears their allegance and alliance to me and they're stabbing me in the back, that bothers me. Now both sides want him outta here. We're gonna have to have a scheme to get rid of him."

Maggie goes to Kaysar looking for a truce. She knows that Kaysar would be very important in bringing James down. Seeing an opportunity to save himself, Kaysar told her that he would make James his main focus if they kept him in the house.

Maggie and the gang then speak about what course of action to take. They know that they have a tough decision to make. Keeping Kaysar in the house would help them to get rid of James. They seem unable to trust Kaysar though. They appear unwilling to take the chance of having the two strongest men in the house for another week.

Julie now joins the house guests in the living room for the first round of questions. After speaking to Jennifer and April, she turns to Sarah and asks her how she feels now that James will be around for at least another week. Sarah replies by telling Julie that she's pleased and making it to the end doesn't matter, as long as she can spend a few more weeks with him.

After the first commercial break, the focus turns to Eric and his influence that he had on the house. I have to say that this segment is rather frightening. By the way Eric's former alliance is acting, you'd think that he passed away. Janelle, James and Howie refer to him as a martyr. They have dubbed him Saint Eric Littman. They also think that the others are a little kooky to be playing in his name. We then see Eric's gang gathered around the memory wall as if they were mourning him. Ivette tells us how she put her key in his slot and the others stacked theirs on top. Uhhhh.... obsess much?

The Soveriegn 6 are in the gold room discussing the strangeness of Ivette putting her key in Eric's slot. James starts to make fun of Eric and his height with an impersonation. He is walking around the room on his knees, shaking his fists in the air and screaming "Maggie, NO!!!"

The focus now moves on to Maggie and how she is filling his shoes. James refers to her as "little Eric". She wears his clothes and hat and even enforces Eric's 11:30 curfew. We then see a bunch of clips where they all talk about Eric wanting this and Eric wanting that. Maggie believes that Eric would be proud of how she's playing the game.

The BB crew clearly has a good sense of humour about this since the last few clips of this segment make it seem like Eric's ghost is haunting the house. Very cute.

It's now time to join Maggie in the HoH room to get her thoughts on the past week. Julie starts by asking about how important it was to avenge Eric's eviction. Maggie replies "It was more important than I want to admit that it was. I want to say that I'm playing 100% strategically, but I absolutely believe that part of me personally is trying to get back at people who are responsible for his departure." Julie then asks about how much she misses him. Maggie says "I miss him so much. He's the only person in this house I could talk to, that knows me. It's not just losing a partner or friend, it's losing someone you're close to. It's a big deal."

Julie then asks if she thinks that nominating James and Kaysar would make her more of a target. Maggie replies "I think I'm absolutely a target in this game. I know James has mentioned on more than 20 different counts that he'll be coming for me. And, you know... I'm ready, I'm not scared." Julie then touches on how Maggie gave James the impression the she was a police officer and asks if it was a strategy. Maggie laughs and says "You know, this is funny to me. I did not give him the impression I was a police officer, I gave him the impression he couldn't read me and I had the ability to read other people. He assumed that wasn't part of the ER nurses job. Which is foolish on his part. I'm having fun with it. If you want to think I'm a cop, sure."

After the commercial break, we get to see more about our houseguests. This time it's about James and Sarah. We get to hear from their families about their relationship and the game. James' family feel that Sarah is good for James. He has a tendency to get bored with relationships but this one could possibly last. Sarah's parents say that she may be a sweetheart but she is a tough cookie. They comment on how they like James and that their relationship is still young. The clips that they show of James and Sarah make it look like James has little respect for her. Both his and her family note that he is a competitive person and hope that that's what we are seeing. I find it interesting that even James' family can't say with certainty that the lying, manipulative person we all see really isn't him.

It's now time to learn about America's Choice. This season, we, the viewing public get to choose who will return to the Big Brother house. We will learn more about this later when it's revealed to the house guests.

This week's biggest moment is finally at hand. Julie gives Janelle and Kaysar their opportunity to say a few words. Janelle starts by thanking her friends and family for watching and supporting her. She also wishes the other house guests good luck in the game and in life. Kaysar thanks everyone and says that no matter what happens he looks forward to seeing them one day.

Julie then reveals that by a vote of 7-1 Kaysar has been evicted from the Big Brother house. As everyone gets up quietly, Howie breaks the silence by singing one of his songs. Clearly there is a lot of love for Kaysar in that house because everyone joined in for the last line and yelled out "What up Kaysar!!!" After hugging everyone, Kaysar walks out the front door and makes his way over to Julie.

Julie's first question to him is about whether or not he feels he's sitting there now because he targeted Eric while HoH. Kaysar says he wasn't sure that he targeted Eric. His intentions were to shake things up in the house. Julie follows up by asking if he targeted anyone. He says that he targeted the people around Eric. His final goal wasn't to take Eric out but just to change the balance of power and putting pressure on Eric. He leaves the house with no regrets.

Julie moves on to Janelle and his relationship with her and whether or not the friendship will continue outside the house. Kaysar feels that the friendship will last. He also feels that Janelle will fare quite well with out him in the house. Julie then asks him who he thinks has the best chance at winning. He responds by saying that Janelle, Howie and Rachel have an equal shot. Julie asks Kaysar what he would do differently if he were to return to the house. He says he wouldn't show all of his cards and show people how dangerous he is.

This week's HoH competition is called Eliminator. It's a trivia game. Julie asks a question and the first person to buzz in answers. The difference though is that if the answer is correct, that house guest can choose to eliminate someone from the game. If they answer incorrectly or too slowly, they are obviously eliminated. Sarah answers the first question correctly and eliminates Jennifer. Ivette answers the second question correctly and eliminates James. Janelle answers the third question incorrectly and is eliminated. Sarah answers the fourth question correctly and eliminates Ivette. Howie answers the fifth question correctly an eliminates Beau. Rachel answers the sixth question correctly and eliminates April. Rachel answers the seventh question correctly and eliminates Sarah. Howie answers the final question correctly and is crowned the new HoH. He celebrates with hugs and screaming "What up Kaysar!!!" once again.

After a short break we return and join the house guests in the living room and Julie reveals this season's America's Choice. As mentioned earlier we get to vote on which evicted house guest will return to the Big Brother house. The house goes nuts when they hear that the 4 evictees have been sequestered. It will be either Michael, Eric or Kaysar. Ashlea is ineligible since she left sequester. The house guests seem pleased with this twist. They start cheering for Eric but then start screaming for Kaysar.
