What’s Hot on TV Tonight – Survivor: One World

It’s the season 24 premiere tonight of Survivor. That’s right; season 24. I remember first hearing the premise of this show, and thought, yeah, right. I tuned it in by the merge that season, and I haven’t missed an episode yet in 24 seasons. They’re doing a men vs. women again, and for this first time after mentioning it several times before, both teams will live on the same beach, which ought to make men vs. women very interesting. There’s bound to be a woman or two who uses her feminine wiles to seduce the other team, and it ought to make secret cross-tribe alliances very interesting! Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? It seems people either hate this day or just can’t get enough of it. I’ll admit, I have been enjoying the conversation hearts. During the day, An Affair to Remember is on, the movie that all those Empire State Building reunions are based on. And later, Only the Lonely, a terrific underrated romantic comedy with John Candy, Maureen O’Hara, and Ally Sheedy. Catch up with all the TV you may have missed at TV-Links.

What’s Hot on TV Tonight – 54th Annual Grammy Awards

There is no doubt that during tonight’s Grammy Awards, the focus is going to be on yesterday’s news of Whitney Houston’s passing. She won six Grammy awards, by the way, and along with her Emmys, Billboard Music Awards, and American Music Awards, the Guinness Book of World Records names her as the most awarded female act of all time.
