What’s Hot on TV Tonight – American Idol Night 2

The first night of the the auditions for season 11 of American Idol went very well. There were several memorable good voices, instead of just the normal one or two. Are they setting us up for a great season or for a big fall when we’ll hit a city that won’t produce much of anything? Tonight is more auditions, this time in Pittsburgh. Will it be another big success? Catch up with other favorite shows you may have missed at TV-Links.

1. Live! With Kelly. Dana Carvey guest cohosts, with Ewan McGregor and Elizabeth Banks as guests. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. My Best Friend’s Girl. A player starts dating his best friend’s ex in order to convince her to go back out with him, but he starts to fall for her instead. Dane Cook, Kate Hudson, and Jason Biggs star. 10:45 AM CT Comedy Central

3. The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The guests today are Rob Lowe and Adam Lambert. Syndicated, check local listings.

4. Letters to Juliet. An engaged woman finds a letter on a wall in Verona, Italy, dedicated to followers of Shakespeare’s Juliet. She becomes obsessed with finding the author and hopefully reuniting her with her lost love, more than forty years after the letter was written. 4:00 PM CT The Movie Channel

5. College Basketball. Wake Forest at Duke. 6:00 PM CT ESPN

10. The Vampire Diaries. Bonnie wonders if her recurring dreams couple provide the answer to how to kill Klaus, Tyler looks for help as he tries to reclaim his free will, and Alaric’s new friend is intriguing to Damon. 7:00 PM CT CW

12. When Vacations Attack! A couple vacationing in Hawaii is taking in the breathtaking beauty when a huge wave hits and wipes them out. Hugh Alexander is washed into a whirlpool of powerful tides, battered into the jagged rocks and then sucked into a cave that no one has ever come out of alive. Then, a tanker truck carrying propane has overturned on the freeway, and a young woman is stuck in her car with her doors melted shut in blinding black smoke. Finally, a skydiver’s parachute malfunctions, and she smashes into a parking lot face first as her husband watches helplessly; and she’s pregnant. 7:00 PM CT Travel Channel

19. The Secret Circle. Jake comes back and gives Cassie a chance to finally find out what happened when her dad died, but Diana and Adam are suspicious of why he would make this offer. Faye gets trapped. 8:00 PM CT CW

20. The Finder. Walter is asked by a former prison warden to find a bullet that could prove a death row inmate’s innocence, an FBI psychologist evaluates Walter’s consulting ability for federal cases, and a beach party gets Willa in trouble. 8:00 PM CT Fox

21. The First 48. A shooting victim turns up in a scrap yard, and a woman turns up dead in a motel room. 8:00 PM CT A&E

22. World’s Dumbest … World’s Dumbest Parties 18 includes drunk people on horseback in a parade, girls in bikinis falling off yachts, hipsters dancing and at laundromat, and people somehow splashing in empty pools. 8:00 PM CT truTV

23. NY Ink. Ami gets some daddy-daughter time in at South Beach and spends time with the guys of Love/Hate. 8:00 PM CT TLC

24. Project Runway All Stars. The designers are tasked with creating a cocktail dress for Miss Piggy. 8:00 PM CT Lifetime

25. Braxton Family Values. Toni gets inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and asks her sisters to perform a tribute to her at the ceremony. However, the girls just can’t get it together during rehearsals. Tamar once again takes over, Towanda once again leaves, and Traci once again lashes out at Tamar. Ever the peacemaker, Trina tries to pull things together, but they can’t pull this one off, leaving Toni and fans disappointed. 8:00 PM CT WE
