What’s Hot on TV Tonight – Bowl Games and Sanctuary Finale

There aren’t a whole lot of choices tonight for those of us who are deciding to stay in to rest up for New Year’s Eve tomorrow night. However, there are a few choices, mostly bowl games and the season finale of Sanctuary on Syfy. If those don’t appeal to you, either hit the Red Box or Netflix, or catch up on your favorite shows you may have missed at TV-Links.

1. Rachael Ray. The guests today include Joey Fatone, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Stacy Keibler who help preview Rachel’s new show Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. Drillbit Taylor. Owen Wilson stars as an ex-soldier who agrees to protect a group of kids against the school bully in order to make some quick money. 10:00 AM CT Comedy Central

3. Mannequin. This is Kim Cattrall way before we got to know her as an over-sexed NYC dweller. She’s a mannequin come to life in this 80s movie that also stars Andrew McCarthy. 11:00 AM CT Style

4. College Football. Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl from Dallas. BYU vs. Tulsa. 11:00 AM CT ESPN

5. College Football. New Era Pinstripe Bow from Yankee Stadium. Iowa State vs. Rutgers. 2:20 PM CT ESPN

6. The Princess Bride. Such a classic is this one, that my niece got a tattoo inspired by this movie. (It says “As You Wish.”) 2:45 PM CT HBO Signature

7. College Football. Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bow from Nashville. Mississippi State vs. Wake Forest. 5:40 PM CT ESPN

8. College Basketball. Western Michigan at Duke. 6:00 PM ESPN2

9. Chuck. With the arrival of Sarah’s original handler, she worries she’ll have to hurt her mother and others closest to her. Cheryl Ladd and Tim DeKay guest star. 7:00 PM CT NBC

10. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Adapted from C.S. Lewis’ novel about children in Britain who find their way into a magical world. 7:00 PM CT ABC

11. Say Yes to the Dress. In the first half hour, Latoya wishes for a ball gown of bling, and Kristin, newly free of cancer, is ready to get tied down. In the second half hour, Katie wants a character dress, while Meghan wants a fairytale. 8:00 PM CT TLC

12. America’s Most Wanted. 8:00 PM CT Lifetime

13. College Basketball. West Virginia at Seton Hall. 8:00 PM ESPN

14. Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys. Olivia, concerned about Brent’s manic, alcohol-fueled behavior, confronts him with a challenge to sober up. She hopes to help him salvage the emotional wreckage from ending an abusive 10-year relationship. Without a straight man in her life, Tenisha brings Jared back home to Memphis for her family reunion. Peter, hopeful to get a gig hosting Olivia’s charity event, works to clean up his raunchy comedy act. Then, Olivia suddenly finds life can be topsy turvy when she is forced to take a hard look at her own troubled relationship with her husband – one that may end in divorce. 8:00 PM CT Sundance

15. The Life & Times of Tim. Tim gets the caddy gig back that he had in high school, and also refers to himself as a sausage salesman. 8:00 PM CT HBO

16. All On the Line with Joe Zee. Season finale. After over twenty years as a household name in the fashion industry, Miller has engaged Joe to help her garner big attention at Fashion Week with a line that is hip and cool and that will appeal to a younger generation.  Joe demonstrates to them how utilizing celebrities and blogs is a better way to reach their target customers and will help her become an even bigger and better label. 8:30 PM CT Sundance

17. Sanctuary. Part 2 of the Season Finale. Henry enters the room carrying with him what appears to be a heavy piece of electronic equipment that was recovered outside the homeland district that he intends on studying to find out whats keeping everyone inside. Nikola quickly determines that he had single handily designed this little machine years before he was fired from SCU, which could contain almost any type of creature through pure electricity. Suddenly, they realize that a handful of these machines could produce enough energy to create an electrified web to destroy hundreds of bodies. 9:00 PM CT Syfy

18. Four Weddings. Mirian has her dad officiate, Kim’s rings are carried by a hand puppet, Jen hosts a $4 cocktail party, and Colleen has a reception sans alcohol. 9:00 PM CT TLC

19. Confessions: Animal Hoarding. A ghost-hunting hoarder, and a woman experiences a head trauma and hoards cats and raccoons. 9:00 PM CT TLC

20. College Football. Insight Bowl from Tempe, AZ. Iowa vs. Oklahoma. 9:00 PM CT ESPN

21. Starving Secrets with Tracey Gold. Tracey lends her support to a woman who starved herself and abused prescription drugs to lose more than two-hundred pounds. 10:00 PM CT Lifetime
