What’s Hot on TV Tonight – Twas the Night Before Christmas Eve

Not only is it Friday, but also the night before Christmas Eve. That means there isn’t much of anything as far as new programming. There’s a new Chuck episode, and new stuff on cable, such as the Sundance Channel, Syfy, HBO, and Encore. Just enough to watch while you get the rest of the holiday wrapping done. Catch up on your other favorite shows you may have missed at TV-Links. 

1. The Martha Stewart Show. Martha announces the winner of “Martha’s Merry Gifts” sweepstakes. One lucky viewer will be surprised to learn they’ve won the entire sleigh full of some of Martha’s favorite gifts for the Holidays! Please let me know if you’d like to include photos/recipes/clips pegged to the episodes listed above. 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM CT Hallmark

2. The View. The guests today include Mery Streep, Mario Cantone, and Joey McIntyre. 10:00 AM CT ABC

3. A League of Their Own.Now that baseball season is in full swing, we can watch a non-traditional baseball movie, the one that shined some light on the first women’s professional baseball league. Just remember the golden rule, “There’s no crying in baseball.”  1:00 PM CT AMC

4. Mr. Mom. I love Michael Keaton in this. I’m not sure whatever happened to him, but I would love for him to make a return to movies. Watching him was like having a woobie. 4:00 (or 4:01, whatever it takes) AM CT HBO Family

5. College Basketball. Western Kentucky at Louisville. 6:00 PM ESPN2

6. Chuck. Chuck and Sarah figure out who’s trying to destroy Carmichael Industries, Ellie’s Christmas plans fall apart, and a computer virus takes down the computers at Buy More forcing Morgan and the crew to battle with the customers. 7:00 PM CT NBC

7. Shrek the Halls. Shrek, Fiona, and the kids celebrate the holidays as a family, but it turns chaotic with visits from Donkey, Gingerbread Man, Puss n Boots and the others. 7:00 PM CT ABC

8. Phineas and Ferb. Phineas and Ferb’s efforts to spread holiday cheer don’t go as planned. 7:30 PM CT ABC9. Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice. Lanny and Wayne try to recover classified North Pole technology that is being held by someone on the naughty list. 8:00 PM CT ABC

10. Say Yes to the Dress. 8:00 PM CT TLC

11. America’s Most Wanted. In the first half hour, a former pageant queen can’t get a previous dress-shopping experience out of her mind, Leah wants to avoid a “boob mirage” in her dress, and a former stuntwoman shops as well. In the second half hour, a plus-size model is determined to not leave the store empty-handed, and Jennifer thinks her $11,000 dress needs a major overhaul. 8:00 PM CT Lifetime

12. College Basketball. Baylor vs. West Virginia. 8:00 PM ESPN

13. Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys. Tenisha, frustrated with her nonexistent dating life, turns to her buff GBF, Jared to help her shed pounds and shape up. The plot thickens when Olivia approaches her to be the subject of a weight loss promotion for her healthy restaurant franchise – 30 pounds in 30 days. Tenisha is tempted but worries that she’ll do all the work while Olivia pockets all the profit. To premiere her first album in five years, Sherrie heads to a New York performance with Shane. But, distracted by a huge fight with his boyfriend, Shane can’t seem to focus at their rehearsal. If he can’t resolve their conflict, Shane’s longtime relationship – and the show – may be bust. 8:00 PM CT Sundance

14. The Life & Times of Tim. The Boss gets a city block named after him, leading Tim to help out with the celebration planning, and Stu thinks his nephew is beginning to change his tune after his Bar Mitzvah. 8:00 PM CT HBO

15. The Take. Conclusion. It’s 1995, and at the hospital Maggie’s father tells Freddie and Jimmy that when he’d found the body of Little Jimmy, the plastic had been tied around his face, and his death was not an accident. 8:00 PM CT Encore

16. Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special.Po has to host an event at Jade Palace on his favorite holiday, Winter Feast, a time he usually spends with his dad. He’s turn between family traditions and what he loves to do. Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross add voices to the same roles from the original film. 8:30 PM CT ABC

17. All On the Line with Joe Zee. When designer Cesar Galindo lost his partner of six-years, Seth, to colon cancer, their joint fashion line came to an end. Without Seth’s incredible sense of style and business savvy, Cesar was afraid he couldn’t keep it together on his own. Now, over two years since Seth’s passing, Cesar picked up the pieces and rediscovered his passion for fashion with his new line, Czar. Working tirelessly Cesar has successfully created a line that has dressed the likes of Gwen Stefani, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige and Sarah Jessica Parker. After refining his vision, Cesar needs Joe’s help to launch this ‘take-two’ line that will be present to Cusp by Nieman Marcus. 8:30 PM CT Sundance

18. Sanctuary. Part 1 of the Season Finale. Magnus meets with the captain, whom for the most part has left Magnus and team alone from activities throughout the Sanctuary. Though as she’s escorted through the hangar, she suggests to the captain that things might have to change. As the group walks around the corner, they’re carefully approached by a group of abnormals and the officers quickly draw their weapons. Magnus and a representative confirm that they’re friends of the Sanctuary and that they only wish to speak to the Captain face to face. The officers are ordered to stand down and the Captain is asked for their support for the success of the mission. 9:00 PM CT Syfy

19. Top 10 Weddings of 2011. The top 10 weddings of the year, along with the top nuptial trends. 9:00 PM CT TLC

20. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The guests tonight are Terry Bradshaw, Bailee Madison, and Chris Isaak. 10:35 PM CT NBC
