What’s Hot on TV Tonight – Regis Philbin’s Last Day

The scope of daytime TV has completely changed this year. First we lost Oprah, then All My Children. Today will be Regis Philbin’s last day as host of Regis and Kelly, and next month will see the end of One Life to Live. Do we have enough quality programming to replace these juggernauts? 2. Get Shorty. Yet another movie of John Travolta’s where he shows he’s not just a leading man, but a great character actor, as I think he can play just about any role there is. He’s not one of those that gets stuck in the same role. 12:00 PM CT Encore Action

3. The Talk. Mario Lopez is guest cohost, and Donny Osmond is among the guests. 1:00 PM CT CBS

4. The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The guests today include Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, and Bruno Mars. Syndicated, check local listings.

5. The Incredibles. This Oscar-winning animated Disney flick is about a superhero crimefighter and his family who have been laying low trying to lead normal lives, but come out of retirement. 4:00 PM CT Disney XD

6. A Gifted Man. Rita’s surprise reunion with her son over Thanksgiving is preempted when he’s involved in a motorcycle crash, needing Michael to save him. Dr. Sykora and Dr. Barnes resuscitate a DNR patient. 7:00 PM CT CBS

7. Chuck. Chuck and Sarah follow an assassin out to eliminate the new intersect, Morgan makes adjustments to having the intersect, and Jeff shows off a new side of himself 7:00 PM CT NBC

8. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. A family who spends their time getting shelter and support for those in need gets a new home and storage facility built for them by Ty and his team with surprise visits from Meredith Vieira and Michel Symon. 7:00 PM CT ABC

9. Nikita. Sean captures Birkoff hurting a plan to identify the members of Oversight, and Alex tries to reenter Russia. 7:00 PM CT CW

10. Kitchen Nightmares. Chef Ramsay lends his help to Greek at the Harbor in Ventura Harbor, CA. 7:00 PM CT Fox

11. College Football. Oklahoma State at Iowa State. 7:00 PM CT ESPN

12. CSI: NY. The team looks into the assassination of a judge, and Jo has an encounter with a criminal from her past. 8:00 PM CT CBS

13. Grimm. Nick looks into a series of deaths and disappearances, and the friend of a person who died at the hands of a Grimm shows up to avenge the death. 8:00 PM CT NBC

14. Supernatural. Dean, Sam, and Bobby search for a creature known to be on the attack in a New Jersey state park, and Dean determines that the special sandwich at a restaurant seems to be making people go crazy. 8:00 PM CT CW

15. Fringe. The team is on the case of a man who turned white after he was killed by an invisible force, and Olivia experiences migraines. 8:00 PM CT CW

16. Say Yes to the Dress. Marjorie gets her family and friends to help her find a dress, Lynette doesn’t agree with the style choices of her family and friends, and Dana is finally ready to get married after putting it on hold for five years. 8:00 PM CT TLC

19. Blue Bloods. Jackie and Danny believe a young woman was forced into committing suicide, Frank and Mayor Pool clash over a city threat, and Henry has a heart attack. 9:00 PM CT CBS

20. Dateline NBC. New evidence turns up in the case of a past hometown hero who was convicted of murdering his wife. 9:00 PM CT NBC

21. Sanctuary. Henry and a team from the UK Sanctuary are investigating why the original crew on an icebreaker in the Bering Sea seem to have killed one another when suddenly, they hear noises coming from outside. The team readies their guns then Magnus and Will burst through the door. Will goes off on a lecture about Magnus and her flying skills after an apparently bumpy ride to the icebreaker. Ending his lecture, he notices the bodies and Henry fills them in on the details. We also learn that the Abnormals on the ship tore each other apart as well. Tune-in to the all new episode this Friday and watch as the team split up and decide to search the whole 9:00 PM CT Syfy

22. Brides of Beverly Hills. In the first half hour, a former reality star and TV producer looks for dresses. With the names being Rachel and Sarah, I’m guessing it’s Rachel, winner of Big Brother who is the former reality star. In the second half hour, aging film star Maimie Van Doren proves it’s never too late to get married. 9:00 PM CT TLC

23. My Extreme Animal Phobia. Animal phobias include moths, lizards, and birds. 9:00 PM CT Animal Planet

24. The Dead Files. Amy and Steve find a violent history behind a couple’s home in Florida. 9:00 PM CT Travel Channel

25. Oprah’s All-Stars. Oprah’s experts discuss embarrassing questions. 9:00 PM CT OWN

26. BOSS. After long-buried information resurfaces, Kane and his camp find themselves battling the media for control of public perception. With the primary just around the corner, they’ll have to pull out all the stops to contain the situation and keep the upper hand. 9:00 PM CT Starz

27. Late Show with David Letterman. The guests tonight include Herman Cain, Brian Regan, and Grouplove. 10:35 PM CT CBS
