What's Hot On TV Tonight – Two TNT Premieres

You thought TNT was done with its season premieres after The Closer, Saving Grace, HawthoRNe, etc., didn’t you? They still have two more that they’re pulling out tonight, the season premiere of Leverage, and the series premiere of Dark Blue. Both are great for you action fans, especially Dark Blue.

1. The View. The guests today include Steve Harvey and Daughtry. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. Author! Author!. This is definitely one of my favorite movies, and I would watch it every time I could catch it on HBO, which back in those days of HBO was often. Al Pacino is a single dad raising kids from several different relationships, a playwright, and romancing Dyan Cannon. It was fifteen years later or so that I became a writer myself. 11:20 AM CT HBO Comedy East

3. The Invisible. It’s another one of those movies I hadn’t heard of until the day I decided to see it at the theater. A high schooler dies, but hovers between living and being dead. No one can see or hear him, but he can mingle with everyone else. 1:00 PM Starz Cinema

4. Wipeout. Tonight the obstacles include Sweeper Trees, Slippery Swing Set, and the Scary Go Round. The contestants include a grandmother. 7:00 PM CT ABC

5. So You Think You Can Dance. The top 10 dancers perform with new partners. 7:00 PM CT Fox

6. America’s Got Talent. Hey! It’s more auditions! 8:00 PM CT NBC

7. I Survived a Japanese Game Show. Tonight the games will include kicking soccer balls at a goal while wearing depth perception altering goggles, and trying to get golf balls to stick in a tacky surface while the opposition tries to move them away with golf clubs. 8:00 PM CT ABC

8. Leverage. In the season premiere Nate, sober, gets back together with the old team, and it seems to easy to pick right back up again. Read the conference call with Timothy Hutton about the new season. 8:00 PM CT TNT

9. Ghost Hunters International. In the Czech Republic, a saint’s bones are examined, and the team investigates paranormal claims linked to a dead landlord in North Ireland. 8:00 PM CT Syfy

10. Gordon Ramsay’s F Word. Chef Ramsay tries to catch catfish his his bare hands in Oklahoma, a recipe for low-fat prawn and crayfish pilaf is featured, and Jamelia makes Jamaican chicken soup.  8:00 PM CT BBC

11. Monsters Inside Me. Parasitic reproduction that includes bed bugs, botflies and worms, which flourish in the lungs is featured. 8:00 PM CT BBC

12. The Philanthropist. When Teddy goes back to Nigeria, he finds that his friend was kidnapped in protest against Teddy’s efforts in the village. Trying to form a rescue, Teddy finds himself negotiating with an arrogant general. Phillip helps a friend who has fallen on hard times. 9:00 PM CT NBC

13. Primetime: Crime. Featured is a report on date rape that focuses on a man accused of fabricating his resume on dating web sites, then incapacitating his victims with drugs. 9:00 PM CT ABC

14. Dark Blue. This new crime drama plays out like an action movie and stars Dylan McDermott. Find out more about the series at Small Screen Monthly. 9:00 PM CT TNT

15. Top Chef Masters. Chefs Michael Chierello, Rick Moonen, Nils Noren, and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson are challenged to reinvent classic junk food. They’ll then created three-course mini meals. 9:00 PM CT Bravo

16. Real World. Derek’s ex pays a visit, and Jasmine sets her sights on a StudentCity boss. 9:00 PM CT MTV

17. Michael & Michael Have Issues. Michael Ian Black and MIchael Showalter ceompete for the respect of an intern in this series premier that follows the two comics behind and in front of the cameras.9:30 PM CT Comedy Central

18. Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien. Tonight’s guests are Dana Carvey and Kris Allen. 10:35 PM CT CBS
