What's Hot On TV Tonight – Free Day!

Doesn’t it seem like it’s a free day? Usually the day after Independence Day, everyone has to go back to work and the old grind. But with this being Sunday, it’s like an extra day, a free day! However, TV networks seem to be feeling the same way, as many series, especially those on cable, seem to be taking the night off, as we either don’t have them at all, or they’re in repeats.

1. Wimbledon: Men’s Final. The Men’s Tennis Final from London. Rafael Nadal is the defending champion. 8:00 AM CT NBC

2. IndyCar Racing: IndyCar Series In Watkins Glen, NY. Ryan Hunter-Reay got the win last year over Darren Manning by a mere 2.4 seconds. 12:00 PM CT ABC

3. MLB All-Star Game Selection Show. The teams for the AL and NL All-Star game will be announced. 12:00 PM CT TBS

4. Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour. It came with a hefty price tag at the theatre, being $15 per, but here you get to see it for free, providing you have a subscription to Starz. And, thankfully, the 3-D part isn’t included i15n this showing of it, as it really didn’t add that much at all to the experience of the film. 12:15 PM CT Starz

5. Field of Dreams. Midway through the baseball season, it’s time to watch this Kevin Costner classic again. 1:30 PM CT CMT

6. 60 Minutes. The US Airways pilot who landed his craft on the Hudson River is interviewed, and Jon Bon Jovi is profiled. 6:00 PM CT CBS

7. Dateline NBC. Hoda Kotb goes over the ten most harrowing near-death moments to have been captured on camera, including a BASE jump that fails, and a rescue from the rooftop of a building on fire. 6:00 PM CT NBC

8. Just For Laughs. A dog that steals golf balls on a course, a policeman who breaks down during a traffic stop, and a grocery bag that doesn’t end that confuses shoppers. 6:30 PM CT ABC

9. Merlin. A young man named Lancelot saves Merlin from a magical winged creature, but when he learns Lancelot aspires to become a knight, Merlin tries to convince Arthur how well Lancelot would work out. Uther and Arthur visit a village the winged created has attacked, and Arthur prepares his men to  battle the creature. 7:00 PM CT NBC

10. The Bourne Supremacy. Matt Damon playing the Bourne character in the first sequel. Another, the fourh in the series, has been announced for a 2011 release date. 8:00 PM CT NBC

11. Untamed & Uncut. Divers are trapped in a shark cage with a great white, a rodeo cowboy doesn’t fare so well with a bull, and a zoo’s animal trainer is accked by a hawk. 8:00 PM CT Animal Planet

12. Ice Road Truckers. Wanting to be the first woman in the heavy-haul division, Lisa Kelly has to prove she can lead a convoy of pilot cars while hauling wide-gauge pipe. Hugh and Alex try to outdo each other in a 500 mile race , and Tim experiences engine trouble. 8:00 PM CT History

13. Bridezillas. There’s a problem with a groom’s tux in the eyes of a controlling bride, and another bride fires her bridesmaids and insists on wearing three dresses to the reception. 8:00 PM CT WE

14. The Next Food Network Star. A kid-friendly “Yum-O” challenge, making it too bad Teddy was eliminated last week, and the chefs perform their first demo in front of a live an audience on the Rachael Ray show. 8:00 PM CT Food Network

15. Impact. Conclusion of a two-part sci fi drama about life on Earth as the moon is about to collide with it. Tonight, competing plans to thwart the collision are proposed, Alex can’t get in touch with his kids, and Roland with Martina. 8:00 PM CT ABC

16. Jesse James Is a Dead Man. To prepare for the Baja 500 off-road race, Jesse drives through a minefield and flips his truck. 9:00 PM CT Spike

17. Expedition Africa. The expedition takes the team to Tabora, and one of them contracts malaria, and two members get into a heated fight. 9:00 PM CT History
