What's Hot On TV Tonight – Ellen In Primetime

You thought you’d have to wait all summer to see more of Ellen DeGeneres, didn’t you? It’s like a bonus. On top of getting to see new Ellen, it’s in primetime on TBS. She takes on the Windy City here in Ellen’s Bigger, Wider, and Longer Show. TV Land will honor the memory of Farrah Fawcett with a tribute presentation of two Charlie’s Angels episodes and the first two episodes of Chasing Farrah. A Michael Jackson tribute will air on Sunday

1. Road to Perdition. Tom Hanks plays a mob hit man who goes hiding with his son and is betrayed by his boss. It was filmed in the Chicago suburbs here and was big doings at the time. 11:00 AM CT TNT

2. NASCAR Racing: Nationwide Series in Loudon, NH. The Nationwide Series Camping World 200 was won last year by Tony Stewart, with a different winner driver winning each year. 2:00 PM CT ABC

3. Bruce Almighty. Morgan Freeman plays God and gives Jim Carrey as a TV reporter some of his powers. He’s just hoping it helps him in his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, but does try to do things the right way and help the people who need it … eventually. 3:00 PM CT USA

4. Charlie’s Angels. In the first episode, Sabrina pretends to be a race car driver, and in the second, the Angels go behind bars to uncover a murder-extortion scheme at a prison-farm.  6:00 PM CT TV Land

5. Kings. More of this cancelled series’ episodes already in the can. Tonight, when Silas and David go tot he country, Silas discloses the parts of his life from outside the palace. Ross atempts to keep others from finding out secrets about Michelle and Jack. 7:00 PM CT NBC

6. Primeval. A dinosaur from the Cretaceous era comes wounded through an anomaly, along with a medieval knight who is trying to slay him, mistaking him for a dragon. 7:00 PM CT BBC

7. Groomer Has It. A season recap with highlights and never-before-seen footage. 7:00 PM CT Animal Planet

8. Can You Duet. The top five duos perform, and the judges eliminate two of them.7:00 PM CT CMT

9. Harper’s Island. The survivors find out who one killer is, but are afraid there may be a second one when someone disappears and they find out surprising info about an islander. 8:00 PM CT CBS

10. America’s Most Wanted. Tonight’s focus is on new info on a fugitive that’s been featured before and is wanted for the deaths of his two daughers, and a man who has been on the run for more than twenty years from major drug charges. 8:00 PM CT Fox

11. Ellen’s Bigger Longer & Wider Show. Taped during the Chicago Festival, Ellen DeGeneres is Joined by Kanye West and David Blaine, and America’s Got Talent’s Nick Cannon Serves as DJ. Ellen will also lead the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley Field during the the Cross-Town Matchup between the Cubs and Sox. 8:00 PM CT TBS

12. Chasing Farrah. In the first half hour, in spite of her dislike of reality shows, Farrah agrees to star in one, and in the second half hour, Farrah and Ryan O’Neal have dinner at his beach house 8:00 PM CT TV Land

13. Groomer Has It. In the season finale, the final two withstand a dog show boot camp. They then enter into the final challenge preppng rare and hard to groom breeds for show, determining the winner. 8:00 PM CT Animal Planet

14. The Singing Bee. Let’s see if this one holds up better than Don’t Forget the Lyrics. 9:00 PM CT CMT

16. Eli Stone. Another cancelled series finishing out its episodes. Tonight, Eli represents a newscaster who gets fired, Eli’s relationship with Maggie gets taken to new levels, and Matt has to make a difficult decision regarding the fate of his former firm. 9:00 PM CT ABC
