What's Hot On TV Tonight – Tony Awards

Last week we had the MTV Movie Awards, and this week the Tony Awards. Quite the difference. Neil Patrick Harris is hosting, and I’m just guessing we won’t have anyone flying in with their butt exposed, plopping their genitals in anyone’s face. Again, just a guess, but if it did happen, it would be one to remember.

1. French Open: Men’s Final. The men’s final at Roland Garros in Paris, the reason it’s on so freaking early I would assume. 8:00 AM CT NBC

2. Bridge to Terabithia. This children’s sci-fi movie stars Josh Hutcherson, AnnaSophia Robb, and Zooey Deschanel. Two kids find some common ground with the need to escape through fantasy. 11:30 AM CT ABC Family

3. NASCAR Racing: Sprint Cup In Long Pond, PA. It’s The Pocono 500, won last year by Kasey Kahne. 1:00 PM CT TNT

4. The Breakfast Club. Out of all the Brat Pack/John Hughes movies, I think this one will stand the test of time the most. Just in case you wanted to feel old, it’s been 24 years. 1:30 PM CT HBO Comedy East

5. 60 Minutes. Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke is interviewed, and Dolly Parton is profiled. Yahoo! 6:00 PM CT CBS

7. Dateline NBC. An overview of Iran, including politics, people, and history, as well as a child custody case between USA and Brazil, and a husband leading a secret life that affects his wife. 6:00 PM CT NBC

8. Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night. A special half hour of Kimmel before the NBA Finals Game 2 7:00 PM CT CBS

9. Tony Awards. Neil Patrick Harris hosts the awards ceremony honoring the best of Broadway. Billy Elliot leads the nominations. 7:00 PM CT CBS

10. NBA Finals: Game 2: Magic at Lakers. It’s Game 2 of the championship series. American Idol Kris Allen will be singing the National Anthem. 7:00 PM CT ABC

11. The Last Templar. It’s the conclusion of this two part movie starring Mira Sorvino and Scott Foley. The archaeologist and FBI agent continue to dig up secrets about the stolen artifact. 8:00 PM CT NBC

12. Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The disappearance of a young boy during a hotel robbery is investigated by Goren and Earnes. Piper Perabo and Lynn Redgrave guest star. 8:00 PM CT USA

13. Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Season premiere with Sophie turning 16 and Gene going overboard celebrating. 8:00 PM CT A&E

14. Ice Road Truckers. Lisa feels the need to prove herself as a female trucker, another rooke he mechanical problems, and Jack handles a 130 ft. pipe. 8:00 PM CT History

15. Bridezillas. A beauty from California lashes out at others, and a bride who loves drama plans a murder mystery wedding theme. 8:00 PM CT WE

16. The Next Food Network Star. It’s the premiere of season five with all new chefs. Read Reality Shack’s special premiere recap. 8:00 PM CT Food Network


17. In Plain Sight. The engineer of a collapsed bridge enters the Witness Protection Program after being targeted by the families of those who died in the collapse. 9:00 PM CT USA

18. Jesse James Is a Dead Man. Jesse tries to outrun six police cars and a helicopter in his nitrous oxide-modified ride.9:00 PM CT Spike

19. Expedition Africa. It’s part two of the modern day explorers’ journey following Stanley’s steps as he searched for Dr. Livingston. 9:00 PM CT History
