What's Hot On TV Tonight – Jay and Silent Bob

92.jpeg Throughout the TV season, Saturday nights were reserved for repeats of fare on earlier in the week and movies, with limited new programming. With more shows under summer hiatus, it’s more of the same. We do get to see some Jay and Silent Bob, though, in one of their earlier movies. Chasing Amy.

1. Crocodile Dundee. A country guy from Australia is brought to New York City and experience a total culture shock. 9:40 AM CT TBS

2. French Open: Early-Round Play. Early-round play in the French Open in Paris, France. 12:30 PM CT NBC

3. Encino Man. If you can forget that Pauly Shore is in this movie, it’s actually a fun flick. Brendan Fraser and Sean Astin also star in this movie of two high school kids that uncover and thaw out a caveman, then try introduce him to their lifestyle. 3:20 PM CT Encore East

4. Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.. A tween from the Depression wants to be a journalist and sets out to write about those less fortunate, then suddenly her family joins the ranks of those that lose their job and struggle financially. It’s strikingly familiar to what’s going on now in the country. Abigail Breslin stars. 6:00 PM CT HBO Family East

5. Chasing Amy. Ben Affleck stars as a comic book artist who falls in love with a lesbian. It’s also one of the movies that features Jay and Silent Bob. 7:00 PM CT IFC

6. Cops. A suspect loses something illegal out of his pants during a traffic stop, spitting in the other’s face starts off a domestic dispute, and a boy is bitten by two dogs. 7:30 PM CT ABC

7. Harper’s Island. While the guests at the wedding are getting ready to leave the island, Abby finds out a secret that connects her to the serial killer John Wakefield. Sheriff Mills thinks one of the attendees is behind the murders. 8:00 PM CT CBS

8. America’s Most Wanted. The murder case against Dale Helmig, convicted of murdering his mom and sentenced to life in prison, is examined by John Walsh as he discusses the prosecution relying on circumstantial evidence. His case was later taken up by the Innocent Project at ISU. 8:00 PM CT Fox

9. Primeval. A journalist wants to expose the ARC as an anomaly from the Permian era, so releases dangerous creatures from the past and the future at a local hospital 8:00 PM CT BBC

10. Groomer Has It. Homeless shelter dogs get groomed for an adoption event attended by Margaret Cho, the comedian. The contestants then have to groom search-and-rescue dogs in under 45 minutes, without using soap or water. 8:00 PM CT Animal Planet

11. Beverly Hills Groomer. Artist’s siblings make for very different employees as Arvene does well, but Desmond makes costly mistakes. Artist tries to spend more time with his son. 9:00 PM CT Animal Planet
