This is the second week in a row with Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader and Don’t Forget the Lyrics not being on. I know they’re not cancelled, but where are they? They must be done for the season, as the Fox schedule shows Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse in their places for the winter season.

1. Regis and Kelly. Does the American Idol final 36 have you reminiscing about seasons gone by? Catch up with David Cook as he appears on Regis and Kelly. Other guests include Anne Hathaway, Don Rickles, and Kevin James. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. Runaway Bride. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere team up again after their success with Pretty Woman. This time he’s a writer trying to get the story of why this bride always runs out on her wedding day. 9:00 AM CT TMC West

3. The Bonnie Hunt Show. All you Amazing Race fans, Phil Keoghan is Bonnie’s guest again, I believe making his third appearance on her show. They have a great chemistry together. Joan Rivers appears as well. 2:00 PM CT NBC

4. August Rush. A young orphaned boy begins to get the feeling that his parents are somewhere out there looking for him, and believes that his music is the key to bringing them back together. 1:10 PM CT WMax

5. Baby Boom. I think I need to revisit this movie again. Back in 1987 when it came out, I was a 20-something (I was a very young 20-something!) unmarried with no idea of raising kids. I loved this movie. I’m interested to see if I’ll still love it 20+ years later when I’ve been through those same baby years. 6:00 PM CT Encore 3

6. Ghost Whisperer. When Sam catches Melinda in some lies, her secret could be exposed, leading him to question their relationship. 7:00 PM CT CBS

7. Howie Do It. The second half hour tonight is a repeat, but in the first half hour, winners of a game show find themselves losing in the end, a man is tricked by his wife into being in a commercial for mouthwash, Vic guesses the weight of people by smelling them, and women model makeup that isn’t flattering on them. 7:00 PM CT NBC

8. Wife Swap. A mom who gets into live-action role playing swaps with a mom who is an immaculate real estate agent. One of them always has to be immaculate or a slob. 7:00 PM CT ABC

9. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. While Sarah is dealing with her injuries, the image of John’s father visits her, and Weaver becoming protective of John Henry leads to fatal consequences. 7:00 PM CT Fox

10. Flashpoint. A sniper is targeting Ed, who had killed his dad weeks ago while the man held a woman at gunpoint. One of the SRU’s own is struck in the gunfire and fights for survival. 8:00 PM CT CBS

11. Friday Night Lights. McCoy is still stealing the spotlight from Matt, who is also dealing with his mother’s return. Tyra is seeing a new side to Cash, and Jason it trying to find new ways to support his son and Erin. 8:00 PM CT NBC

12. Supernanny. With a bullying dad’s negative style of parenting, it leaves the responsibilities for child care to his working wife. Along with the constant browbeating his 15 year old stepdaughter takes, Jo’s help is definitely needed 8:00 PM CT ABC

13. 13 – Fear Is Real. The players are forced to escape from straitjackets. 8:00 PM CT CW

14. Dollhouse. It’s the series premiere of the Joss Whedon Series about agents who receive personality implants for each misson, then have their memories cleared when they’re done. Didn’t we just have that with My Own Worst Enemy, and it was off the air in weeks? 8:01 PM CT Fox

15. NUMB3RS. Rob Morrow was promoting this on Bonnie Hunt this week. He was wearing an ascot, although he claimed it was just a scarf. If you’re indoors, and it’s tied around your neck and stuck inside your shirt, it’s an ascot. Tonight, after an accused weapons smuggler is acquitted despite a strong case against him, Morrow’s character Don aand his team investigate possible jury tampering. 9:00 PM CT CBS

16. Datelince NBC. Haylee Reay’s father blamed her for her mother’s death on the stand when he was being tried for the crime. Is he accusing or protecting her? 9:00 PM CT NBC

17. 20/20. The subject tonight is Appalachian poverty, as the show follows kids ranging in age from 11 to 18. Area physicians, an author, and a medical clinic founder are interviewed for the piece. 9:00 PM CT ABC

  • Lyrics and 5th Grader aren’t canceled, but they’re not coming back any time soon either – unless FOX has a change of heart or needs a fill-in show for something else being canceled.

My best guess is that they’ll return just before the new summer shows start up. Lots of networks are using game shows as filler these days, which kind of sucks.
